    • Aston Martin打算棄V8用V6？V12已窮途沒路？手波注定絕種？CEO一次過回應。

    外媒Car And Driver與Aston Martin CEO Andy Palmer進行了一次電話訪問，得知Aston Martin計劃自行生產3.0公升V6 hybrid引擎，取代用於Vantage、入門版DB11和DBX的Mercedes-AMG V8。報告引述CEO的話，指Aston Martin之所以想自己整混能V6，其中一個原因是Mercedes-AMG最近比較專注研發四氣缸引擎，而Aston Martin不想旗下汽車用四氣缸，所以要另行研發。他認為可以用hybrid系統與電動摩打增強扭力，填補少了兩個氣缸的動力限制。只要新V6引擎感覺似V8，以及排氣聲夠雄壯，這對Aston Martin而言是條明智的道路，比行四氣缸的路明智好多。

    另外Andy Palmer指Aston Martin會繼續推出V12引擎車款，將來打算把德國的V12生產線搬到英國，與新V6 共用廠房，而且會不斷改良V12，把耗油量降低。至於手動波箱方面，CEO認為替Aston Martin Vantage提供手波的決定是正確的，這進一步鞏固了品牌地位，皆因現時很少車廠會開發手波汽車。不過他承認這是很小眾的玩意，自己也不能肯定未來會否提供更多手波型號。
